Precision Engineering: Die Casting

Die casting is a metal casting process in which molten metal is injected into a steel mold under high pressure and solidified inside the mold to obtain the required parts. It is an efficient and precise batch production technology, often used to manufacture industrial products such as automotive parts and electronic components. Due to the high cost of equipment and molds, it is usually only suitable for mass production. Die-castings have the advantages of high precision, good surface finish and strong dimensional consistency, and are mainly used for non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, zinc and magnesium.

Process Flow

Prepare the mold: Spray lubricant in the mold cavity to help regulate the temperature and simplify demolding.
Filling the mold: After closing the mold, the molten metal is injected into the mold cavity under high pressure. The mold remains under high pressure until the metal cools and solidifies.
Cooling and solidification: Accelerate the cooling process by spraying water or immersing in water.
Remove the casting: Open the mold and eject the cooled and solidified casting.
The Advantages of die casting
High Precision: It can produce parts with high dimensional accuracy and strict tolerances.
Good Surface Finish: The surface of the casting is smooth, which usually reduces or avoids secondary processing.
High-efficiency Batch Production: It is suitable for large-scale and high-efficiency production of the same products.
Complex Shapes: Complex parts can be cast in one go.

At Xiamen Guansheng Precision Machinery Co.,Ltd, our staff are equipped with professional operation skills and rich experience, hereby follows the technical process:

1. Professional engineers conduct mold analysis and design. Based on the 3D drawings provided by the customer or the samples offered by the customer, they carry out detailed analysis and design the mold. Through computer simulation tests, they determine whether the mold design is correct.

2. Carry out the die-casting process, then remove burrs and flash after die-casting.

3. CNC machining to mee the precise parts dimensional requirements. After this, cool immediately and conduct thread inspection. When small workpieces are die-cast, the deburring process is carried out, followed by the semi-automatic grinding process.

4. The painting technician performs UV painting and places it in a high-temperature oven at 120 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes.

5. The silk screen printing master performs the silk screen printing process.

6. The quality inspector conducts quality checks and prints the test reports.
